Manufacturer's description

PETRONAS Urania 5000 LSE 10W-40 is a synthetic engine oil formulated with StrongTech technology, engineered to stay stronger for longer by forming a uniquely strong fluid film that extends drain intervals and engine life while maximizing performance and reducing total cost of ownership. It is a low-SAPS oil suitable for Euro VI and Euro V heavy-duty diesel applications, including modern, high-output, low-emission engines fitted with DPF, SCR, DOC and EGR after-treatment systems, as well as newer and older turbocharged and naturally aspirated diesel engines, on-highway and off-highway, running on high or ultra-low sulphur diesel and biodiesel. It can be used where MB 226.9 is recommended and is suitable for OEMs requiring the specified performance levels on CNG vehicles. Its low-ash formulation gives outstanding protection for DPF and DOC after-treatment systems, excellent control of deposit build-up, controlled acidity for reduced corrosion, longer oil-drain capability on low-emission engines, and effective control of soot build-up. Urania 5000 LSE 10W-40 meets API CI-4, ACEA E11/E8/E7 and JASO DH-2, and is approved to Daimler Truck Fluid Release (DTFR) 15C110 (backward compatible with MB 228.51 and previous E6-16, E9-16 and E7-16 classifications), Mack EO-N, Renault RLD-2 and Volvo VDS-3, with additional performance-level recognition from CAT ECF-1a, Cummins CES 20077/20076, Deutz DQC IV-18 LA and TTCD, MAN M3477/M3271-1, MTU Oil Category 3.1 and Renault RXD/RGD.

Applications

  • Low SAPS engine oil suitable for Euro VI and Euro V heavy-duty diesel applications, including modern, high-output, low-emission engines fitted with emission control systems using DPF, SCR, DOC and EGR technologies.
  • Also suitable for new and old turbocharged and naturally aspirated diesel engines, both on-highway and off-highway, running on high- or ultra-low-sulphur diesel and bio-diesel.
  • Can be used where MB 226.9 is recommended.
  • Suitable for OEMs requiring the specifications below for their CNG vehicles.
  • Approved Daimler Truck Fluid Release (DTFR) 15C110, fully backward compatible and suitable for vehicles recommending the previous Daimler MB 228.51 specification.
  • Fully backward compatible with the previous E6-16, E9-16 and E7-16 classifications.

Performance & benefits

  • Enhances your business profitability and vehicle availability while significantly reducing operating costs.
  • Maintains oil at optimal viscosity levels, delivering optimal lubrication to prevent unplanned breakdowns.
  • Longer oil drain interval and engine life.
  • Excellent control of deposit build-up, delivering optimum fleet engine performance.
  • Keeps the acid level under control, preventing corrosion and increasing engine durability and life.
  • Longer oil drain capability, especially on low-emission engines.
  • Outstanding protection for emission after-treatment systems such as DPF and DOC, thanks to its low-ash additive system.
  • Effectively combats high concentrations of soot build-up, critical to preventing loss of vehicle horsepower.
