Manufacturer's description

PETRONAS Urania Elite 10W-30 is a premium heavy-duty engine oil formulated with StrongTech technology, forming a uniquely strong fluid film that protects the engine, retains performance and keeps trucks running and available for longer, helping reduce total cost of ownership. It is a low-SAPS oil suitable for Euro IV, Euro V, Euro VI, China VI, Bharat VI and Proconve-P8 heavy-duty diesel applications, including modern, high-output, low-emission engines fitted with DPF, SCR, DOC and EGR after-treatment systems, as well as older turbocharged and naturally aspirated diesel engine generations, on-highway and off-highway, and is also suitable for CNG vehicles where the listed specifications are recommended. It is approved Daimler Truck Fluid Release (DTFR 15C100), backward compatible with MB 228.31, E9-16 and E7-16, and replaces Urania 3000 LS 10W-30. Its low-ash additive system gives outstanding protection for DPF and DOC after-treatment, combats soot build-up, offers enhanced thermal and oxidation stability, improved cold-start lubrication and better fluid-film resistance under severe mechanical stress. Urania Elite 10W-30 meets API CK-4, CJ-4, SN and ACEA E11/E7, and is approved Cummins CES 20086, DTFR 15C100, Ford WSS M2C171-F1, Mack EOS-4.5, MAN M3775, Renault VI RLD-3 and Volvo VDS-4.5, with performance level in line with CAT ECF-3, CES 20081, DAF PSQL 2.1E, Deutz DQC III-18 LA, Detroit Diesel DFS93K222/218, MB 228.31, MTU Oil Category 2.1 and Volvo VDS-4.

Applications

  • Euro IV, Euro V, Euro VI, China VI, Bharat VI and Proconve-P8 heavy-duty diesel engines, fitted with DPF, SCR, DOC and EGR emission after-treatment systems.
  • Older turbocharged and naturally aspirated diesel engine generations, on-highway and off-highway, running on high- or ultra-low-sulphur diesel and biodiesel.
  • CNG vehicles, where the specifications listed in this document are recommended.
  • Vehicles recommending the Daimler MB 228.31 specification, approved Daimler Truck Fluid Release (DTFR 15C100), backward compatible with the E9-16 and E7-16 classifications.
  • Replaces Urania 3000 LS 10W-30.

Performance & benefits

  • Contributes to enhancing vehicle availability, through longer engine life.
  • Enhanced thermal and oxidation stability at high temperature, with viscosity stability maintained.
  • Prevention of deposit and sludge formation, prolonging oil life even under severe conditions.
