Manufacturer's description

PETRONAS Urania 3000 LS 10W-30 is a premium engine oil formulated with StrongTech™ technology, engineered to stay stronger for longer by forming a uniquely strong fluid film that extends drain intervals and engine life, maximises performance and keeps your trucks moving, helping to reduce the total cost of ownership. It is a low-SAPS oil suitable for Euro VI and Euro V heavy-duty diesel applications, including modern, high-output, low-emission engines fitted with DPF, SCR, DOC and EGR after-treatment systems. It is also suitable for older turbocharged and naturally aspirated diesel engines, on-highway and off-highway, running on high- or ultra-low-sulphur diesel and biodiesel. It is approved Daimler Truck Fluid Release DTFR 15C100 and is fully backward compatible with the previous MB 228.31 specification and with ACEA E9-16 and E7-16. Key benefits include stable viscosity for reliable lubrication, improved fuel economy, strong fluid-film resistance under severe mechanical stress, optimal protection of DPF and DOC systems thanks to its low-ash additive system, acid control against corrosion, enhanced thermal and oxidation stability, effective soot control and excellent low-temperature start-up lubrication. It meets API CK-4, CJ-4, SN and ACEA E11, E7, with approvals from Cummins CES 20086, Deutz DQC III-18 LA, DTFR 15C100, Mack EOS-4.5, MTU Oil Category 2.1, Renault RLD-3 and Volvo VDS-4.5, and performance levels CAT ECF-3, DAF, Detroit Diesel DFS93K222, Ford WSS M2C171-F1 and MAN M3775.

Applications

  • A low-SAPS oil suitable for Euro VI and Euro V heavy-duty diesel applications, including modern, high-output, low-emission engines fitted with DPF, SCR, DOC and EGR emission-control systems.
  • Also suitable for older turbocharged and naturally aspirated diesel engine generations, on-highway and off-highway, running on high- or ultra-low-sulphur diesel and biodiesel.
  • Approved Daimler Truck Fluid Release (DTFR) 15C100, fully backward-compatible and suitable for vehicles recommending the previous Daimler MB 228.31 specification.
  • Fully backward-compatible with the previous E9-16 and E7-16 classifications.

Performance & benefits

  • Enhances your business profits and vehicle availability while significantly reducing operating costs.
  • Maintains the oil at optimal viscosity levels, delivering optimal lubrication that helps prevent unplanned breakdowns.
  • Improved fuel economy.
  • Better fluid-film resistance under severe mechanical stress, delivering enhanced engine durability.
  • Delivers a longer drain interval and engine life through optimal protection for exhaust after-treatment systems such as DPF and DOC, thanks to a low-ash additive system.
  • Keeps the acidity level under control, preventing corrosion and increasing engine durability and life.
  • Enhanced thermal and oxidation stability at high temperature, providing viscosity stability and preventing deposit and sludge formation, prolonging oil life even under severe conditions.
  • Delivers an outstanding driving experience by effectively combating high concentrations of soot build-up, critical for preventing loss of vehicle horsepower.
  • Excellent low-temperature viscosity for improved lubrication during start-up.
