Manufacturer's description

Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 is an advanced full synthetic engine oil designed to provide exceptional cleaning power, wear protection and overall performance, engineered to prolong the life and maintain the efficiency of emission systems in both diesel and gasoline powered automobiles. It meets or exceeds the requirements of many leading industry and car manufacturer standards for newer modern engines. The oil is recommended for a wide range of passenger cars, SUVs and light vans, designed for modern high-efficiency gasoline, diesel and hybrid vehicles from Porsche, Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz, as well as Japanese and Korean vehicles calling for SAE 0W-30. Based on Mobil low-ash synthetic technology, it meets or exceeds ACEA C3 to help protect exhaust after-treatment systems and API SP to help address LSPI, and it is especially suitable for extreme conditions and cold-start protection. It carries approvals including MB 229.31, 229.51 and 229.52, Porsche C30, and VW 504 00/507 00. Formulated with leading-edge components fully compatible with modern Diesel Particulate Filters and Gasoline Catalytic Converters, it offers a low ash, low sulphur and phosphorous content to protect after-treatment systems, active cleaning agents against deposits and sludge, outstanding thermal and oxidation stability for extended drain intervals, low oil consumption, enhanced frictional properties that can aid fuel economy, and excellent low-temperature cold-start protection.

Applications

  • Carries recommendations for a wide range of passenger cars, SUVs and light vans.
  • Designed for modern, high-efficiency petrol, diesel and hybrid cars from Porsche, Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz, as well as for Japanese and Korean vehicles that specifically call for an SAE 0W-30 viscosity grade and any of the specifications the oil supports.
  • Based on Mobil low-ash synthetic technology, meets or exceeds the ACEA C3 industry standard, helping protect exhaust gas after-treatment systems designed to limit engine emissions; also meets or exceeds API SP engine test requirements, helping address Low-Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI), making it a preferred choice for downsized, direct-injection turbocharged gasoline engines.
  • Especially suitable for extreme conditions where conventional oil often may not perform; can help with cold engine protection and start-up in applications calling for the same specification in the 5W-30 grade.
  • Not recommended for 2-stroke or aviation engines unless specifically approved by the manufacturer.

Performance & benefits

  • Made with a proprietary blend of leading-edge components, formulated to be fully compatible with the latest Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) and Gasoline Catalytic Converters (CATs).
  • Designed to help deliver outstanding performance and protection together with potential fuel-economy benefits.
  • Low ash content — helps reduce particulate build-up in Diesel Particulate Filters.
  • Low sulphur and phosphorus content — helps reduce poisoning of Gasoline Catalytic Converters.
  • Active cleaning agents — help reduce deposits and sludge build-up, enabling a long, clean engine life.
  • Outstanding thermal and oxidation stability — helps reduce oil aging, allowing extended drain-interval protection.
  • Low oil consumption — less hydrocarbon pollution.
  • Enhanced frictional properties — potentially aids fuel economy.
  • Excellent low-temperature capabilities — quick cold-weather starting and ultra-fast protection helps extend engine life.
