Eni CLADIUM 300 SAE 40 is a lubricant formulated with high-quality base stocks, specifically developed for the lubrication needs of those 4-stroke Diesel engines that, owing to the operating conditions and the high sulfur content of the fuel, require a lubricant with a medium-high Base Number (BN).

Performance & benefits

• High detergent properties effectively inhibit the formation of lacquer and carbon deposits at hot spots on the pistons and in the piston grooves, preventing ring-sticking.
• Provides strong neutralization against the corrosive effects of acidic products generated by the condensation of combustion gases — especially useful under conditions that lower the cylinder liner temperature (promoting acid condensation), and in engines with low oil consumption using medium-sulphur fuel.
• Anti-wear characteristics ensure correct lubrication of the main engine's final reduction gears as well.
• Strong demulsibility allows easy centrifugal separation of water that may accidentally contaminate the lubricant charge.
• Antifoam qualities prevent air-bubble formation and help maintain a uniformly distributed, uninterrupted oil film.
