Eni CLADIUM 300 S SAE 40 is a lubricant of the latest generation, developed for those 4-stroke Diesel engines in marine and industrial sectors which, owing to the operating conditions and the high sulfur content of the fuel, require a high performance lubricant with “anti black sludge” properties.

Performance & benefits

• High detergent and dispersant properties effectively inhibit the formation of sludge, lacquer and carbon deposits at hot spots on the pistons and in the piston grooves, preventing ring-sticking.
• Provides strong neutralization against the corrosive wear caused by acidic products from the condensation of combustion gases of high-sulphur fuel oil — especially useful under conditions that lower the cylinder liner temperature (promoting acid condensation), and in engines with low oil consumption.
• Anti-wear characteristics ensure correct lubrication of the main engine's final reduction gears as well.
• Antifoam qualities prevent air-bubble formation, while good demulsibility allows easy centrifugal separation of contaminating water.
• These properties are especially relevant for modern engines with low oil consumption, since this limits the renewal of fresh oil through top-ups and places extra stress on the lubricant charge.
