Mobil SHC Cibus 220 (ISO VG 220) is one of the Mobil SHC Cibus™ Series lubricants, which are outstanding-performance hydraulic, compressor, gear and bearing oils formulated from FDA- and NSF-registered hydrocarbon base fluids and additives for the food and beverage processing and packaging industries. Their naturally high viscosity index combined with a proprietary additive system delivers strong performance across high and low temperatures, high loading and areas of frequent wash-down, well beyond typical mineral oils. The series is NSF H1 registered and complies with Title 21 CFR 178.3570 for incidental food contact, is manufactured at ISO 22000-certified facilities that also meet ISO 21469 requirements, and is suitable for Kosher and Halal use, being free of animal-derived materials and nut, wheat and gluten allergens. Low traction coefficients reduce fluid friction and operating temperatures, and validated field and laboratory testing has shown energy savings of up to 3.6% in gear applications and 3.5% in hydraulic applications versus conventional oils, alongside excellent wear protection, oxidation stability, rust/corrosion resistance and seal compatibility. Mobil SHC Cibus 220 has a kinematic viscosity of 222 mm²/s at 40 °C and 24.5 mm²/s at 100 °C, with a viscosity index of 139. It meets or exceeds DIN 51517-3 (CLP), does not contribute to MOAH content in food when used within the FDA 21 CFR 178.3570 limits, and is intended for gear, bearing and circulating systems.

• Recommended for use in a wide variety of hydraulic, compressor, gear and bearing applications within food and beverage processing, packaging and pharmaceuticals.
• Effective in applications where maintenance costs of component replacement, system cleaning and lubricant changes are high.
• Mobil SHC Cibus 32, 46 and 68 are high-performance fluids intended for hydraulic, circulating, compressor and vacuum pump applications.
• Mobil SHC Cibus 100, 150, 220, 320 and 460 are intended for gear, bearing and circulating systems.
• NSF H1 registered for incidental food contact only, per FDA 21 CFR 178.3570, with a limit of 10 ppm oil in the food product; not to be used as direct food-contact lubricants.
• Before changing a system from non-H1 lubricants to Mobil SHC Cibus Series, or even for brand-new equipment, the system should be thoroughly cleaned out and flushed to achieve maximum performance and comply with H1 registration.
