Manufacturer's description

Eni Grease MU EP 2 is a high performance yellow-brown lithium grease, homogeneous and salve-like. Its EP additives form a lubricating layer that resists heavy mechanical stress and shock loads. It is recommended for lubricating plain and rolling bearings and other machine parts subject to high temperatures and mechanical loads, wherever lubricating conditions are difficult. Eni Grease MU EP 2 is a multipurpose grease, recommended for lubricating gears and other machine parts subject to vibration and high operating temperatures. Eni Grease MU EP 2 passes the FAG FE 9 (DIN 51821-02) and SKF R2F tests at 120 °C.

Applications

  • Suitable for lubricating flat and rolling bearings, including loaded ones, operating at high temperatures and in couplings with particularly critical start-up lubrication conditions.
  • Its 'multipurpose' characteristics make it suitable for lubricating gears and other components subject to vibrations and operating at high temperatures; passes the FAG FE9 (DIN 51821-02) and SKF R2F tests at 120°C.

Performance & benefits

  • Multipurpose characteristics facilitate optimizing the lubricants used and consequently warehouse storage
  • High dropping point allows use without problems across a wide temperature range
  • Effective anti-rust power, without being aggressive even towards yellow metals
  • Thanks to its water-repellent characteristics, usable in wet environments and in the presence of water
  • Maintains its characteristics unaltered even after intense, prolonged mechanical and thermal stress
  • Particular adhesiveness to metal surfaces, effectively resisting vibrations and impacts
  • Anti-wear properties help protect and extend machinery life
