Eni Grease LP 2 is the NLGI 2 grade. The eni GREASE LP greases were formulated in particular for the steel industry and, more generally, for applications where the lubricating film has to adhere well and resist high temperatures and water. They are lithium-calcium soap greases on a mineral base oil (160 mm²/s at 40 °C) with EP additives, usable from -20 to +120 °C. Dropping point 185 °C, water washout at 38 °C below 4 %, Timken OK load 50 lbs; it passes the FAG FE 9 (DIN 51821-02) and SKF R2F tests at 120 °C. Recommended as a multipurpose grease, in particular for bearings in hot and cold train rolling mills and for flat and rolling bearings, loaded gears, joints, ropes and chains.

Applications

• Formulated as a 'multipurpose' grease for applications requiring strong adhesiveness and resistance to high temperatures, water washout, loads and vibrations.
• Recommended for the steel industry, in particular for lubricating bearings in hot- and cold-strip rolling mills, and generally for flat and rolling bearings, loaded gears, joints, ropes and chains operating across a wide temperature range and in severe environmental conditions.
