Manufacturer's description

Eni Grease LC 2 is a special multipurpose grease formulated with a lithium complex soap and anti-rust, antioxidant and EP (extreme pressure) additives. Characterised by a high dropping point and good stability, Eni Grease LC 2 is recommended in the metallurgical industry for lubricating bearings subject to high operating temperatures — ingot guideways, rolling mill roll bearings. It is also used for lubricating bearings and other machine parts working under severe conditions (joints, the bearings of rolling mills and papermaking plant, plain and rolling bearings exposed to water washing), under high and shock mechanical loads, across a wide temperature range from -20 °C to +150 °C.

Applications

  • Designed for lubricating bearings operating at high temperatures in the steel industry (roller pathways for slabbing, oven-outlet roller ways of continuous casting lines).
  • Also used for lubricating bearings and other components operating under severe conditions (paper-mill joints and bearings, rolling-mill bearings, flat and rolling bearings exposed to water washout), subject to heavy loads and shocks, across a temperature range from -20°C to +150°C.

Performance & benefits

  • High dropping point, ideal for use at high temperatures, with peaks up to 150°C
  • Stable even under strong mechanical and thermal stresses
  • High adhesiveness and vibration resistance
  • High anti-rust and anti-corrosion power without being aggressive towards yellow metals
