Manufacturer's description

Mobil Antifreeze Extra is a concentrated, high-performance antifreeze based on ethylene glycol and formulated with Glysantin G48 from BASF. Free of nitrites, amines and phosphates, it must be diluted with de-ionised or suitably soft water before use, following the dilution chart to reach the required freeze protection. The product contains a blend of corrosion inhibitors designed to protect radiators, cylinder blocks/heads and water pumps in both ferrous and aluminium engines, providing a high degree of protection for up to three years. Diluting the concentrate from 33% to 60% in water lowers the freeze point from -18°C to -52°C. Glysantin G48 by BASF is approved by Audi, Seat, Skoda and VW (TL 774-C, vehicles up to 1996), Porsche (up to 1995), Rolls-Royce (from 1998), BMW N 600 69.0, MAN 324 NF, Mercedes-Benz 325.0, MTU MTL 5048, Opel/Vauxhall (up to 2000) B 040 0240 and Saab 690 1599, covering a broad range of European vehicle marques.

Applications

• Must be diluted with de-ionised water as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer (see dilution chart); tap water can be used when not excessively hard.
• Waste water from mining, sea water, brackish water, brine and industrial waste water must be avoided.
• Poured into the vehicle cooling system as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
