Manufacturer's description

Mobil Delvac Ultra Total Driveline 75W-90 is a fully synthetic drivetrain lubricant engineered to meet demanding extended-drain and warranty requirements. It is designed for heavy-duty transmissions, axles and differentials that need gear lubricants with excellent load-carrying capability under extreme pressure and shock loading, combining synthetic basestocks with advanced additives for significant advantages over conventional gear oils. It is intended for on-highway light and heavy-duty trucks, buses and vans, as well as off-highway construction, mining, quarrying and agricultural equipment, including hypoid and worm gear drives, winch reduction gears and crawler vehicle propulsion gears exposed to severe low temperatures. Key benefits include exceptional thermal stability and resistance to high-temperature oxidation, outstanding protection against low-speed/high-torque wear and high-speed scoring, exceptional shear stability, enhanced friction reduction for potential fuel economy, and good low-temperature fluidity for easy start-up. Mobil Delvac Ultra Total Driveline 75W-90 meets or exceeds API GL-4 and GL-5, Meritor O76-E and O-94, and Scania STO 1:0 and 1:1 G, and carries approvals from Mack, MAN, SAE J2360 and ZF TE-ML. It is not intended for automatic, manual or semiautomatic transmissions that call for engine oil or automatic transmission fluid.

Applications

  • Transmissions, axles and other applications where lubricants meeting API GL-4, GL-5 or MT-1, mild extreme-pressure gear lubricants, are recommended.
  • On-highway light- and heavy-duty trucks, buses and vans.
  • Off-highway industries including construction, mining, quarrying and agriculture.
  • Other heavy-duty industrial gear drives, including hypoid and worm gears, operating under high-speed/shock-load, high-speed/low-torque and/or low-speed/high-torque conditions.
  • Initial fill, topping-off or refilling of differentials, final drives and transfer cases.
  • Equipment such as winch reduction gears and crawler-vehicle propulsion gear drives exposed to severe low temperatures.
  • Applications where extended service intervals and warranties are required.
  • Not intended for automatic, manual or semi-automatic transmissions for which engine oil or automatic transmission fluids are recommended.

Performance & benefits

  • Enhanced friction-reduction properties give potential fuel-economy benefits and reduce operating costs.
  • Outstanding low-temperature fluidity, compared with conventional oils, helps reduce wear and eases start-up.
  • Good resistance to foaming helps maintain film strength for reliable lubrication.
  • Wide multipurpose capability — a single lubricant for heavy-duty manual transmissions and rear axles.
