Standards & approvals

  • Industrial gear lubricant CKD — ISO 12925

Class CKD of ISO 12925-1: a gear oil with the same additive package as CKC but greater thermal stability, for gear units running hot.

  • AIST 224 — EP gear oil for steel mills

The AIST requirement for non-leaded EP gear oils in steel plants.

  • Fives Cincinnati P-76 — gear oil

Fives Cincinnati approval for machine tool fluids; EP gear oils for machine tool drives.

  • Müller Weingarten DT 55 005 — CLP gear oil

Müller Weingarten standard for CLP gear oils, with load-carrying requirements under shock loading.

Manufacturer's description

Eni Blasia 100 is a lubricant with EP characteristics for enclosed industrial gears, splash- or circulation-lubricated, subject to high mechanical and thermal loads and high speeds in the presence of sliding friction. Eni Blasia 100 can be used to lubricate other heavily loaded components such as couplings, screw drives and plain bearings at low speeds. It is also recommended for oil-spray lubrication systems.

Applications

  • Gear oil with EP characteristics for enclosed industrial gears lubricated by splash or circulation systems, especially where high loads, high temperatures, high speeds and sliding friction are present.
  • Can also be used to lubricate other heavily loaded components such as couplings, transmission screws and low-speed plain bearings.
  • Suited to use in oil-mist lubrication systems.

Performance & benefits

  • Protects lubricated components during operation, thanks to a robust anti-wear additive system.
  • Withstands high operating temperatures (up to 100°C), thanks to very good antioxidant properties.
  • Non-corrosive to gaskets and seals, and to metals such as steel, cast iron, copper and bronze.
  • Quick separation from water that could accidentally enter the system, thanks to outstanding demulsibility.
