Standards & approvals

  • Lubricant designation CGLP — DIN 51502

The DIN code for machine tool slideway oils, with antiwear additives and friction modifiers against stick-slip.

  • Hydraulic oil, type H / ISO 6743-4 HG — ISO 11158

Class HG: an oil that serves both the hydraulics and the slideways of a machine tool, carrying friction modifiers that prevent stick-slip.

  • Slideway oil, class GA — ISO 19378

Class GA of the ISO slideway (way) lubricant classification: an oil for horizontal machine-tool slideways, with friction modifiers against stick-slip.

  • Slideway oil, class GB — ISO 19378

Class GB of the ISO slideway lubricant classification: a tackier oil for vertical slideways, so it does not drain off the surface.

Manufacturer's description

Eni Exidia HG 68 is a superior quality lubricant recommended in particular for lubricating slideways, including heavily loaded ones, and for circulation or total-loss lubrication systems. It is formulated with high quality base oils and a special additive package that gives excellent behaviour against stick-slip, together with anti-wear and anti-rust properties. Eni Exidia HG 68 is also recommended as a hydraulic fluid, especially on grinding machines where a single oil is wanted for both the slideways and the hydraulics.

Applications

  • Premium-quality lubricant designed specifically for slideways, even under high loads, in circulation and total-loss lubrication systems.
  • Formulated with high-quality base stocks and a unique additive package that provides excellent anti-stick-slip, anti-wear and anti-rust properties.
  • Recommended as a hydraulic fluid in machines — especially grinding machines — where a single oil lubricates both the guideways and the hydraulic drives.

Performance & benefits

  • Allows smooth, uniform motion of machine tools thanks to excellent anti-stick-slip properties.
  • Helps improve the surface finish of machined parts.
  • Separates well from water, reducing potential negative effects on lubricated surfaces.
  • Non-corrosive towards metals (iron, copper and its alloys).
  • Compatible with cutting oils.
