Eni Brake Fluid DOT 4 Plus

Synthetic DOT 4 brake fluid with a high boiling point for severe duty

Business customers only. We sell wholesale, invoiced to registered companies.

Standards & approvals

  • FMVSS 116 DOT 4 — brake fluid

The US federal safety regulation defining the DOT brake fluid levels. DOT 4 demands a high boiling point both dry and after water uptake.

  • SAE J1704 — DOT 4 brake fluid

SAE standard for DOT 4 brake fluids, with a higher boiling point than DOT 3, particularly once the fluid has taken up water.

  • Brake fluid Class 4 — ISO 4925

The international standard for glycol brake fluids; class 4 matches the DOT 4 level, with a high boiling point both dry and wet.

Manufacturer's description

Eni Brake Fluid DOT 4 Plus is a high-performance synthetic fluid, especially suited to cases where the brake system works under severe operating conditions. Its high boiling point lets it be used safely in demanding ambient conditions, or under prolonged braking that overheats the system. It resists contamination by external moisture — the cause of a falling boiling point and of vapour lock, the gas bubbles that form in the circuit and take the braking effect with them. Its viscosity has been adjusted so that the product also works at low ambient temperatures.

Applications

  • High-performance synthetic fluid, especially suited to cases where the brake system is subject to severe operating conditions.

Performance & benefits

  • With its high boiling point, can be safely used in demanding conditions or during prolonged braking that overheats the braking system.
  • Highly resistant to harmful contamination from external moisture, which lowers the boiling point and can cause vapour lock (gas bubbles forming in the circuit, resulting in loss of braking effect).
  • Its viscosity characteristics have been adjusted to make it suitable for use at low ambient temperatures as well.
  • Non-corrosive to the metals used in brake circuits and does not swell rubber or plastic components, preventing damage to seals and gaskets; it also has good lubricating properties with anti-wear action and remains chemically stable even at high temperature.
