eni CODIUM L are special oils for the textile industries, formulated using colourless oils that, due to their extreme degree of refining, are free of those hydrocarbons whose nature makes them the most difficult to remove. A particular additive treatment gives these products certain features which distinguish them as superlative textile oils. CODIUM L 100 (100 mm²/s at 40°C, flash point 215°C, pour point -18°C) has been developed expressly for the movements of looms and other weaving machinery.

Applications

• Lubrication of the movements of looms and other weaving machinery.

Performance & benefits

• Excellent anti-rust properties, protecting the lubricated components.
• Optimum adhesive and anti-drip properties, limiting drips and spurts from components such as cams and shuttle pickers, to minimise staining.
• Good washability, for easy removal of any oil traces from the fabric in alkaline or detergent soaking tanks.
• Particularly useful for the upper movements of the loom, above the warp and the fabric, where drips are more likely.
• Colourless, to minimise the effects of any residual contamination after washing.
• Can attack acrylic paints, though it does not affect epoxy-type paints.
