Mobilsol PM is a highly detergent and dispersant synthetic fluid designed to be added to the oil in hydraulic, paper machine or general circulation systems. It releases and holds in suspension gummy oil oxidation products and insoluble materials, enabling efficient clean-up of deposits accumulated over time in reservoirs and pipework, and helping restore the system's original operating efficiency and equipment protection. It is recommended for cleaning oil circulation systems in service, including paper machine lubrication systems, hydraulic systems, open heating systems operating below 140 degrees C, and general circulation systems lubricating gears and bearings, as well as for cleaning machine parts, gears and bearings by brush or dip. Mobilsol PM is introduced progressively in 1% increments up to a maximum of 4% of system volume, circulated for 3 to 10 working days while filters are monitored, then the system is drained hot, flushed and refilled with fresh oil; blending calculations may be needed where a maximum viscosity limit applies, and the product should not be used in NC machine tools or servo valve systems without special engineering consideration. Key benefits include a higher flash point than light petroleum-based solvents (allowing use without shutting the system down), freedom from corrosive materials with limited effect on seals, high detergency that removes foreign deposits, carbonaceous material and sludge, and high dispersancy that holds contamination in suspension for removal by filtration.

Applications

• Mobilsol PM is recommended for cleaning up oil-circulation systems in service, such as paper-machine lubrication systems and hydraulic systems.
• Not recommended for use in NC machine tools or servo-valve systems without special engineering consideration; in systems with sensitive servo control valves, even very small particles of dirt introduced or dislodged by the solvent/fluid mixture may interfere with valve operation.
