Manufacturer's description
Eni Celtis 903 is a paraffinic mineral oil expressly formulated for use in preparing mixes in the rubber industry and in the processing of plastics. It is particularly suitable as an extender oil, mixed with the polymer and the other components to produce semi-processed goods, or as a process oil, added in the mixer to the semi-processed product to make the finished article. It is particularly suitable for use with styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) and with elastomers of low unsaturation such as butyl rubber (IIR) and ethylene-propylene terpolymer (EPDM).
Applications
- Paraffinic mineral oil formulated specifically for preparing compounds in the rubber industry and for plastics processing.
- Particularly suitable as an "extender oil" mixed with the polymer and other components to produce semi-finished products, or as a "process oil" added in the mixer to the semi-finished product to make the finished item.
- Particularly suitable for use with styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), with low-unsaturation elastomers such as butyl rubber (IIR), and with ethylene-propylene thermopolymer (EPDM).
Performance & benefits
- Facilitates elastomer workability during calendering, extrusion and moulding.
- Promotes the dispersion and homogenization of pigments, additives and carbon black.
- Excellent anti-staining properties, thermal stability, oxidation resistance and low volatility.
