Mobilmet 763 is part of the Mobilmet 760 Series. It is an extra high performance, chlorine-free neat cutting oil for severe cutting operations, especially on difficult-to-machine steels. It is not recommended for use with copper and its alloys. It delivers superior surface finish, extended tool life and control of built-up edge, while its light colour keeps the work area visible and helps achieve closer tolerances, and its anti-mist formulation limits oil mist near the machine tool. Mobilmet 763 is recommended for deep-hole drilling (over 20 mm diameter), drilling, tapping, threading, milling, gear shaping, broaching, parting-off and automatic-lathe operations.
Applications
- Mobilmet 760 Series are recommended for severe cutting operations on normal and difficult-to-machine steels.
- Mobilmet 762 is particularly suited to drilling, deep-hole drilling (under 20 mm diameter), threading, tapping, parting-off and automatic-lathe operations on small workpieces.
- Mobilmet 763 is recommended for deep-hole drilling (over 20 mm diameter), drilling, tapping, threading, milling, gear shaping, broaching, parting-off and automatic-lathe operations.
- Mobilmet 766 is used for tapping, threading, milling, gear shaving and shaping, broaching, planing, parting-off and automatic-lathe operations.
