eni OPL 5 is a low-viscosity mineral cutting oil, free of chlorine and aromatics, formulated with specific additives for lapping, honing and grinding to the latest technologies.
Applications
- Developed for lapping and honing of ferrous metals and aluminium alloys.
- Can be used mixed with micronized carbide-based abrasive powder.
Performance & benefits
- Free of chemically active additives, does not stain the worked metals
- Easily keeps abrasive powders used for lapping in suspension; decanted powders resuspend with simple mechanical agitation
- Low tendency to form fumes and mists during processing; does not produce unpleasant odours
