Manufacturer's description

eni Aquamet 500 FG ECO is a semi-synthetic cutting fluid with excellent technological properties, free of chlorine, boron, secondary amines and bactericide. Its excellent performance in grinding and in medium to severe machining of medium-alloy steels and cast irons can be extended to aluminium and its alloys once the staining behaviour has been checked. A notable characteristic of the product is that it does not foam in either soft or hard water, even at high working pressures. It can be used in centralised or single-machine plants.

Applications

  • Semi-synthetic cutting fluid with excellent technological features, free of chlorine, boron, secondary amines and bactericides.
  • Excellent performance in grinding and in medium-to-severe cutting operations on medium-alloyed steels and cast iron; can be extended to aluminium and its alloys after staining tests.
  • Very low tendency to foam across a wide range of water hardness, even at high delivery pressure.
  • Suited to single and centralised systems.

Performance & benefits

  • Preserves operators and the working environment, thanks to the absence of secondary amines and bactericides.
  • Low foam formation, even under high-pressure delivery.
  • Suited to cutting operations across a wide range of water hardness (optimal range: 10–50°F).
  • High stability and durability of the emulsion in use, reducing the frequency of maintenance operations.
  • Excellent machining performance on steels, particularly cast iron.
  • The high detergency guarantees excellent performance in grinding operations.
  • Free of chlorine and boron, for lower disposal costs.
  • Excellent cooling and lubricating properties, for a longer tool life.
