Eni PUNICA 570 SAE 50 is a cylinder lubricant formulated with high quality base stocks, designed to lubricate and protect the pistons, piston rings and cylinder liners from the harmful effects of combustion by products. Furthermore, its allows the formation of a suitable oil film between piston rings and cylinder liners of low speed two-stroke crosshead engines fuelled with residual fuel.

• Has an alkaline reserve, effective at preventing acidic corrosion on cylinder liners when using medium-to-high-sulphur-content fuels
• Raw materials used in its additives neutralize the acidic condensates from the combustion process, preventing corrosive phenomena
• High thermal stability ensures optimum lubrication even in the largest-bore engines operating at the highest mean effective pressures
• Very high detergent and dispersant characteristics prevent carbon-deposit build-up in the piston-ring grooves, which can lead to ring sticking or breakage
• Forms a stable oil film that spreads uniformly over the cylinder-liner surface, ensuring suitable lubrication between piston rings and cylinder liners and protecting against abrasive wear, reducing maintenance and related costs
