• Recommended as an extreme-pressure grease for very heavily loaded applications in ball, roller or plain bearings, at high temperatures, where an extended service life is required. Used in the following applications:

Performance & benefits

• Reduced costsReduced grease consumption at high temperatures, since the grease resists melting and the resulting leakage, thanks to the use of the latest polyurea thickener technology developed by Shell's in-house experts in Japan. Reduced maintenance costs, since a lower bearing replacement frequency can be achieved thanks to the excellent anti-wear properties provided by the latest polyurea grease thickener technology. Reduced total labour costs, thanks to longer lubrication intervals and fewer interruptions, resulting from the use of the latest, highest-performing greases. Simplified maintenance schedules can be established, resulting from the multifunctional capabilities of this grease and its longer service life.
• ConfidenceA proven new technology (not to be confused with 25 years of American polyurea greases), developed in Japan and now used by bearing manufacturers worldwide. The knowledge that Shell is in full control, from Research & Development through to production and product quality, with ISO approvals in its own plants. The availability of Shell expertise, to assist in safely developing the cost savings available across a wide range of Shell products. No unexpected product health and safety issues, since Shell Gadus S3 T220 is free from lead and nitrite and does not require labelling. A proven product that can perform across a range of field applications, benefiting from the extensive experience gained with Shell Gadus S3 T100.
• AdvantageUse the same grease whatever the lubrication method, since Shell Gadus S3 T220 is also the grease used in the Shell Tactic EMV single-point automatic lubricator. Proper, assured lubrication of equipment worldwide, since the product is part of the international SeaShell product range, available around the world. Availability whenever it is needed, nationally and internationally (Shell currently markets lubricants in more than 100 countries).
