Manufacturer's description
eni GR VN is applied hot to the launching ways of ships, forming a surface layer that resists high pressures and over which the entire hull slides during launching. Once it has set completely, a layer of eni Grease CC 4 must be applied over it; that is what actually lubricates during the launch.
Applications
- Special yellow/light-brown product based on waxy paraffinic petroleum derivatives, suitable for ship hauling and launching operations.
- Applied hot to the guides of the shipway, forming a levelling layer on the sliding surfaces that resists high pressures and supports the hull as it slides during launching.
- Used in combination with Eni Grease CC 4, which provides the actual lubrication during launching operations.
