Cat Ultimate Arctic Grease is a synthetic-base, semi-fluid grease supplied by Caterpillar under its Cat Fluids brand, blended by ExxonMobil. As its name indicates, it is intended for equipment operating in extreme cold, arctic environments, where a lubricant must remain workable and continue protecting components at very low temperatures. It has a characteristic dark gray color and a base oil viscosity in the region of 61 to 75 cSt at 40 °C. Its NLGI consistency grade, thickener type, dropping point and full operating temperature range are not specified. Cat part numbers include 597-4552 and 621-7050.
