Environmentally acceptable, synthetic hydraulic fluid. Shell Naturelle S2 Hydraulic Fluid 46 is an advanced hydraulic fluid for use in hydraulic and power transmission systems. Readily biodegradable with low ecotoxicity, it is particularly suited for use in environmentally sensitive areas. Fully synthetic esters, blended with ashless additives, give it an excellent blend of lubrication performance and environmental acceptability. ISO VG 46 grade with a kinematic viscosity of 47.2 cSt at 40 °C and a viscosity index of 188. It is a less flammable fluid with a high flash point. Bulk operating temperature should not exceed 90 °C.

When compared to conventional mineral oil hydraulic fluids, it will have a reduced environmental impact in the event of a leak or accidental spillage. It is particularly suited for use in environmentally sensitive areas. However, Bulk operating temperatures should not be allowed to exceed 90 0 C.

• Fluid Compatibility Shell Naturelle S2 Hydraulic Fluid is miscible with mineral oil fluids and most other ester based biodegradable hydraulic fluids. However, in order to ensure that the environmental properties and performance of Shell Naturelle S2 Hydraulic Fluid are maintained, the hydraulic system should be drained and flushed thoroughly when changing fluids.
