Manufacturer's description

Eni Arnica V 32 is a biodegradable hydraulic fluid obtained from esters of vegetable origin particularly selected and refined, intended for those applications where the problem of environmental pollution is prevalent and where there is a risk of accidental spills from machinery towards the environment. It is an ISO VG 32 grade, with a viscosity of 32 mm²/s at 40°C, a density of 920 kg/m³ at 15°C and a pour point of -33°C. The high viscosity index allows its use in a particularly wide range of ambient temperatures. Moreover, compared to other product classes, it has a higher flash point, a useful safety feature in the workplace. Eni Arnica V is biodegradable over 60% according to OECD test 301B. We recommend the use of the product in systems where the maximum internal temperature of the hydraulic circuit does not exceed 60°C. In exceptional cases and for short periods of time the temperature up to 70°C is tolerated.

Applications

  • Biodegradable hydraulic fluid obtained from specially selected and refined vegetable-origin esters, for applications where environmental pollution is a concern and where machinery may accidentally spill into the environment.
  • The high viscosity index allows use across a particularly wide range of ambient temperatures, and it has a higher flash point than other product classes, a useful workplace safety feature.
  • More than 60% biodegradable according to OECD test 301B.
  • Recommended for systems where the maximum internal temperature of the hydraulic circuit does not exceed 60°C; up to 70°C is tolerated in exceptional cases and for short periods.

Performance & benefits

  • Excellent demulsibility, effectively preventing the formation of stable emulsions with water and avoiding depletion of the lubricant.
  • Excellent corrosion and rust protection for the metal parts present in the circuit.
  • Good anti-foam characteristics, preventing the resulting malfunctioning of hydraulic plants.
  • Compatible with the seal materials generally used in hydraulic systems.
  • Excellent anti-wear properties, proven by the FZG test above stage 12.
