Manufacturer's description

Eni Arnica S 68 is a high performance hydraulic oil, formulated specifically for hydraulic systems at risk of fire from very high temperatures, as in rolling mills, or from ignition sources such as electric arcs and welding. It is based on biodegradable organic esters with very high viscosity indices and high flash points. It has superior anti-wear, anti-rust and anticorrosive properties. Because it is biodegradable, Eni Arnica S 68 is recommended for the hydraulic systems of vehicles operating in environmentally sensitive areas.

Applications

  • High-performance hydraulic oil, specifically designed for hydraulic systems exposed to fire hazard from very high temperatures, such as in rolling mills or where other ignition sources are present (electric arcs, welding).
  • Based on biodegradable organic esters with very high viscosity index and high flash point, and outstanding anti-wear, anti-corrosion and anti-rust properties.
  • Thanks to its biodegradability, recommended for hydraulic systems of industrial vehicles operating in environmentally sensitive areas.

Performance & benefits

  • Fire-resistant.
  • More than 70% biodegradable, according to the OECD 301B method.
  • Suited to applications operating across a wide temperature range.
  • Maximises the efficiency of water-removal systems, thanks to excellent demulsibility.
  • Protects components thanks to outstanding anti-wear properties (FZG failure load stage 12).
