Mobil Aviation Grease SHC 100 is a supreme-performance synthetic grease combining a polyalphaolefin (PAO) base fluid with a high-quality lithium complex soap thickener. The thickener system delivers a high dropping point, excellent resistance to water wash and tenacious structural stability, while the wax-free synthetic base oil enables low-temperature mobility and low starting/running torque. An NLGI Grade 2 / ISO VG 100 grease with the cold-temperature pumping resistance of typical mineral-oil NLGI Grade 0 greases, it provides outstanding protection between -54°C and 177°C. It is recommended for high-speed, heavy-load applications such as wheel bearings, as well as slower-speed, high-load applications including landing gear bearings, slides and joints, and is the product of choice for aircraft wheel bearing applications. Developed in close collaboration with key OEMs, Mobil Aviation Grease SHC 100 is approved by major aircraft wheel and landing-gear manufacturers including ABSC, Dunlop, Goodrich, Honeywell, Safran Landing Systems (Messier-Bugatti) and Parker-Cleveland, offering long grease life and enhanced bearing protection across a wide temperature range.
Applications
- Recommended for aviation applications which need a lubricant that can perform normal functions, yet go far beyond in terms of high and low temperatures and long-life performance.
- An NLGI Grade 2/ISO VG 100 grease having the cold-temperature pumping resistance of most mineral-oil NLGI Grade 0 greases.
- Provides outstanding protection at operating temperatures from -54°C (-65°F) to 177°C (350°F).
